Our Origins
Before Midwest Gym Supply, there was Paul Kemp — a self-made innovator who saw that the gymnastics equipment available at the time simply wasn’t good enough. Rather than accept the limitations, Paul began designing and building his own apparatus for his club in Madison, Indiana, focusing on safer construction, better materials, and smart improvements coaches actually needed.
His designs quickly earned respect in the regional gymnastics community, and many of the ideas he introduced helped raise expectations for what quality equipment should look like.
What began as a small family workshop has grown into a 34,000 sq. ft. fabrication center, warehouse, and office facility, all still rooted in Paul’s original commitment to craftsmanship, problem-solving, and elevating the sport he loved.
